TRMC Board Meeting Update, December 2022

Board of Managers, News

On Monday, December 19, 2022, the Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Board of Managers met for the regular monthly meeting.  During this meeting, the board reviewed and accepted the resignation of board member Andy Fortenberry.  Andy has served the Board and the Community for over 5 years and has accepted a new role as TRMC’s Chief Financial Officer assuming those duties at the end of this month.

Dr. Will Hooks, TRMC Chief Medical Officer (CMO), presented the Board’s quarterly CMO report detailing 2023 quality and patient safety plans for the medical staff.   The Board also improved two capital projects in excess of $350,000 for upgrades to TRMC’s technology platform and imaging storage systems.

In other business, the Board discussed recent events that have raised funds for the Titus Regional Medical Foundation.  The Taste of Titus event was held at Jo’s in Mount Pleasant to raise funds for a Giraffe Warmer to be used in the nursery at TRMC.  This event was hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Joel Chapman.  The annual All Is Bright event held at Titus Regional raised over $10,000 in December which will be used to establish the Martha Edwards Floral Fund, providing flowers to patients at TRMC in need during their stay.  All is Bright not only raises funds for the foundation but gives team members a chance to honor those TRMC team members and volunteers who have passed away during the past 12 months. The ceremony was conducted in the main lobby with over 100 people in attendance.

A reminder was given to save the date for the upcoming Titus Regional Medical Foundation Gala as well.  The event is scheduled for April 29, 2023 and will raise dollars for a new Infant Abduction system to provide an additional layer of protection for our youngest patients and their families.
