Established in 2004, Titus Regional Medical Foundation was founded to secure philanthropic giving to support Titus Regional Medical Center's mission of providing excellence in healthcare for the communities served.
The Partnership of Healing & Hope was the charter project of Titus Regional Medical Center and resulted in raising $4 million with the vision of building a cancer treatment facility in Mount Pleasant. The Foundation's vision became a reality when the Patty & Bo Pilgrim Cancer Center opened its doors in 2008.
With the generous support of a giving community, we continue to build upon that success, helping our local medical center to grow and improve healthcare options for local families.
People in the community often ask why the hospital needs their donations when it is a taxing entity. The answer is simple: only 5 percent of the hospital's operating budget is funded through taxes. In addition, the hospital provides nearly $17 million in uncompensated care each year.
