Titus
Regional EMS went into operation in 1973, consisting of two ambulances and
four paramedics. We have evolved into a service consisting
of 5 Mobile Intensive Care Units, 1 Basic Life Support unit
and a staff of 24 full time and 14 part-time employees. Titus
Regional EMS responds to 300+ calls per month with some of
the most advanced procedures and equipment available, and professionals
committed to the highest level of care for our community. We
provide full Paramedic service including transporting cardiac
patients and respiratory patients on a ventilator. We utilize
helicopter services from the scene when needed in severe trauma
cases. We currently have a helicopter operated by Air One of
ETMC, based at our facility and can access more flight services
if needed.
Titus Regional EMS is equipped with a communication center
staffed by full time Emergency Medical Dispatchers. Each dispatcher
is trained to assist the caller in rendering aid until the
ambulance arrives. Each call receives the attention required
for the care of the patient, no matter the call volume. The
dispatchers are also certified to perform hands-on patient
care in the field. The continuing education within our service
allows our community to receive the best care possible.
The coverage area for Titus Regional EMS encompasses approximately
