women & children's center visitation guidelines

There may be additional occasions during cold & flu season that ALL children will be prevented from visiting the Women & Children's Center to help prevent the transmission of potentially devastating diseases to your newborn.

At Titus Regional Medical Center, we follow certain guidelines to help keep your newborn baby healthy and promote the rest and well-being of our new mothers. We ask for your help in following the recommendations from The American Academy of Pediatrics.

There may be additional occasions during cold and flu season that ALL children will be prevented from visiting the Women & Children's Center.

CHILDREN 13 AND OLDER

Children over the age of 13 are allowed to visit patients of the Women & Children's Center.

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13

Children under the age of 13 must meet certain criteria to visit patients of the Women & Children's Center:

Children of a patient

Brother or sister of a patient

Brother or sister of a new baby

Brother or sister of a baby's father

OTHER VISITORS

Visitors may be limited depending on patient needs or request and are situation dependent. For example, only two visitors at a time may be allowed in the recovery area, due to limited space and patient privacy considerations.

Additionally, please do not allow visitors who are ill at any time, including persons with the following:

Fever

Cough

Headache

Body aches

Nausea

Diarrhea

Sore throat
