The second Ks 4 Kids Campaign welcomes a new addition to the lineup. The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles' softball team is adding its strikeouts to the campaign, which kicked off with the start of the NTCC spring baseball and softball seasons on January 28th. The campaign is a joint effort between NTCC and Titus Regional Medical Foundation to raise money for infants and children treated at Titus Regional Medical Center.
"This will be softball's first year to participate in the Ks 4 Kids project. I think it will be a good incentive for our pitchers to work hard for more strikeouts," Head Softball Coach Jay Terry said. "It's a great way for us to give back to the community."
The Eagles baseball team is also excited to be a part of the program for a second year. "Community service is an important part of the Eagles program, " said NTCC Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Josh Stewart. "We are very excited about this partnership with the Foundation and TRMC and we look forward to helping raise lots of money this season."
