Deacon and Bible Study teacher at First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant for past 25 years, as well as serving on church building committee for renovation and construction of previous facility, as well as for recently completed campus
Serves on the TRMC Building Committee
Additional community activities have included Mt. Pleasant/Titus County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, Youth Sports Coach, and Radio and TV Broadcaster for Mount Pleasant Tiger sports
Married to wife, Bonnie, for 39 years and they have two married sons and five grandchildren
Hobbies include fishing, golfing, watching the Rangers, and playing with his grandchildren
